Page Settings

The page settings allow you edit the settings for individual post types (posts, pages, custom post types etc.)

Go to Posts > Add New (or whatever post type you want to edit), scroll down to the Page Settings panel where you can customize many aspects of this page. Below is is a list of all the page settings with an explanation of what each setting does.

Page Settings

This options allows you to specify the post subtype. This provides an easy way to differentiate types of posts. For example, you can show different templates for different post subtypes i.e. different templates for a normal post and review post. You can also only display specific post subtypes when using the Items elements.

This options allows you to override the templates already assigned to this page (set under GhostPool Core > Display Conditions).

If the current page uses a template that contains a Section Template element, you can override the template with the one selected from this setting.

For example, you might be using the Section Template inside your Single Post template to display a sidebar on all posts. If you want to display a different sidebar on this particular post, check the Sidebar Template option and select your new template.

To create a new template (sidebar) for a post do the following:

  1. Go to GhostPool Core > Template Editor and click the Add New button.
  2. From the Template Settings panel in the top right corner select Section.
  3. Give the template a title and save it.
  4. Click the blue Edit with Elementor button.
  5. Add the designed widgets/elements to the template.
  6. Click Publish/Update once finished.
  7. Select this template you have just created from the Sidebar Template option on the post you want to show it on.

This option will override the page title.

You will only see the title on pages that use a template that contains the Post Title element. To add a page title to your template do the following:

  1. Visit your post/page from the frontend and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
  2. Click on the template that you want to add the page title to, this will probably be your Page Title template on main Page template
  3. If the template already has a Post Title element, click on the element to show it’s settings on the left and enabled the Show Title setting if it isn’t already enabled.
  4. If you have no Post Title on the template already, from the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Post Title” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear.
  5. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

This option will add a subtitle to this page.

You will only see the subtitle on pages that use a template that contains the Post Title element with the Show Subtitle setting enabled. To add a subtitle to your template do the following:

  1. Visit your post/page from the frontend and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
  2. Click on the template that you want to add the subtitle to, this will probably be your Page Title template on main Page template
  3. If the template already has a Post Title element, click on the element to show it’s settings on the left and enabled the Show Subtitle setting.
  4. If you have no Post Title on the template already, from the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Post Title” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear. Click on the element to show it’s settings on the left and enabled the Show Subtitle setting.
  5. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

Featured Item Settings

You can choose to hide the featured item (featured image, secondary image, gallery, video or audio) on this specific page, if the page is using a template that display the Featured Item element.

This option allows you to assign a secondary featured image to a post/page which can be used in a different location.

For example you may want to display the primary featured image at the top of the post and a secondary featured image in categories.

You will only see the secondary featured image on pages that use a template that contains the Featured Item element. To display the Secondary Featured Image, do the following:

  1. From the frontend visit the page you want to show the secondary images to (for example a category page) and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
  2. Click on the template that you want to show the secondary featured image in, this will probably be an Item Loop template in the Page Content section.
  3. If the template already has a Featured Item element, click on the element to show it’s settings on the left and change the Image Source setting to Secondary Featured Image.
  4. If you have no Featured Item on the template already, from the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Featured Item” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear and follow step 3.
  5. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

This option allows you to add a video to your page.

You will only see the video on pages that use a template that contains the Featured Item element. To display a video, do the following:

  1. From the frontend visit the page you want to show the video on (for example a single post) and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
  2. Click on the template that you want to show the video in, this will probably be the main template in the Page Content section.
  3. If the template already has a Featured Item element, click on the element to show it’s settings on the left and change the Type setting to Video.
  4. If you have no Featured Item on the template already, from the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Featured Item” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear and follow step 3.
  5. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

This option allows you to add a gallery slider to your page.

You will only see the gallery slider on pages that use a template that contains the Featured Item element. To display a gallery slider, do the following:

  1. From the frontend visit the page you want to show the gallery slider on (for example a single post) and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
  2. Click on the template that you want to show the gallery slider in, this will probably be the main template in the Page Content section.
  3. If the template already has a Featured Item element, click on the element to show it’s settings on the left and change the Type setting to Image if it isn’t selected already.
  4. If you have no Featured Item on the template already, from the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Featured Item” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear and follow step 3.
  5. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

This option allows you to add an audio player to your page.

You will only see the audio player on pages that use a template that contains the Featured Item element. To display an audio player, do the following:

  1. From the frontend visit the page you want to show the audio player on (for example a single post) and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
  2. Click on the template that you want to show the audio player in, this will probably be the main template in the Page Content section.
  3. If the template already has a Featured Item element, click on the element to show it’s settings on the left and change the Type setting to Image if it isn’t selected already.
  4. If you have no Featured Item on the template already, from the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Featured Item” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear and follow step 3.
  5. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

Details Settings

This option allows you to assign a release date to this post/page.

You can then use this release date to display on the post and/or filter by this date.

You will only see the release date on pages that use a template that contains the Post Meta element with the Release Date type selected. To display the Release Date, do the following:

  1. From the frontend visit the page you want to show the Release Date on (for example a single post) and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
  2. Click on the template that you want to show the release date in, this will probably be the Page Title or main Page Content template.
  3. If the template already has a Post Meta element in the desired position, click on the element to show it’s settings on the left and from the Post Meta section click the Add Item button and from the Type setting select Release Date.
  4. If you have no Post Meta in the desired position, from the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Post Meta” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear and follow step 3.
  5. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

This option allows you to assign a price to this post/page.

You can then display this price on the post and/or filter by this price.

You will only see the price on pages that use a template that contains the Post Meta element with the Price type selected. To display the Price, do the following:

  1. From the frontend visit the page you want to show the Price on (for example a single post) and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
  2. Click on the template that you want to show the price in, this will probably be the Page Title or main Page Content template.
  3. If the template already has a Post Meta element in the desired position, click on the element to show it’s settings on the left and from the Post Meta section click the Add Item button and from the Type setting select Price.
  4. If you have no Post Meta in the desired position, from the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Post Meta” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear and follow step 3.
  5. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

This option allows you to assign a sale price to this post/page.

You can then display this sale price on the post and/or filter by this sale price.

You will only see the sale price on pages that use a template that contains the Post Meta element with the Sale Price type selected. To display the Sale Price, do the following:

  1. From the frontend visit the page you want to show the Sale Price on (for example a single post) and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
  2. Click on the template that you want to show the sale price in, this will probably be the Page Title or main Page Content template.
  3. If the template already has a Post Meta element in the desired position, click on the element to show it’s settings on the left and from the Post Meta section click the Add Item button and from the Type setting select Sale Price.
  4. If you have no Post Meta in the desired position, from the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Post Meta” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear and follow step 3.
  5. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

Hub Settings

This option allows you to associate a post with a hub post.

This allows you to display data on your associated post that is pulled from the main hub such as the post title, featured image or rating.

You will only see the hub post data on associated posts if an element has an option called Associated Hub Data and it is enabled. For example to display the hub post title on an associated post, do the following:

  1. From the frontend visit the page you want to show the hub post title on (for example an associated post) and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
  2. Click on the template that you want to show the hub post title in, this will probably be the Page Title or main Page Content template.
  3. If the template already has a Post Title element in the desired position, click on the element to show it’s settings on the left and enable the Associated Hub Data setting.
  4. If you have no Post Title in the desired position, from the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Post Title” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear and follow step 4.
  5. This applies to any element you add to the template such as Post Meta, Featured Item, Show Rating etc.
  6. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

This option allows you to select a primary hub post if you have multiple hubs associated with a post. This will be the hub from which data is pulled.

This option allows you to add an image gallery on this post/page. This option is only available when you set the Post Subtype setting to Hub.

You will only see the image gallery on posts that use a template that contains the Image Gallery element. To display the Image Gallery, do the following:

  1. From the frontend visit the page you want to show the Image Gallery on (for example a single post) and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
  2. Click on the template that you want to show the image gallery in, this will probably be the Page Title or main Page Content template.
  3. From the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Image Gallery” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear.
  4. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

This option allows you to add additional hub tabs on this specific post. This option is only available when you set the Post Subtype setting to Hub.

You will only see these tabs on posts that use a template that contains the Advanced Tabs element. To display the tabs, do the following:

  1. From the frontend visit the page you want to show the tabs on (for example a single post) and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
  2. Click on the template that you want to show the image gallery in, this will probably be the Page Title or main Page Content template.
  3. From the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Advanced Tabs” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear.
  4. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

Review Settings

This option allows you to add site ratings to a post.

This allows you to display the site rating on the post and/or filter by the site rating.

You will only see the site rating on posts that use a template that contains the Show Rating element with the Source setting set to Site Rating. To display the site rating, do the following:

    1. From the frontend visit the page you want to show the Site Rating on (for example a single post) and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
    2. Click on the template that you want to show the site rating in, this will probably be the Page Title, main Page Content or a review box Section template.
    3. If the template already has a Site Rating element in the desired position, click on the element to show it’s settings on the left and from the Source setting select Site Rating.
    4. If you have no Site Rating in the desired position, from the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Show Rating” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear and follow step 3.
    5. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

This option allows you to override the average rating if you have multiple site ratings.

This options will add the site rating from this post to the associated hub post and can be used as a button link on the associated hub.

This option allows you to add good and bad points to a post.

You will only see the good and bad points on posts that use a template that contains the Good/Bad Points element. To display the good/bad points, do the following:

    1. From the frontend visit the page you want to show the good/bad points on (for example a single post) and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
    2. Click on the template that you want to show the good/bad points in, this will probably be the main Page Content or a review box Section template.
    3. From the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Good/Bad Points” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear.
    4. From the Type setting select Good Points or Bad Points.
    5. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

This option allows you to add a summary to a post similar to an excerpt.

You will only see the summary on posts that use a template that contains the Post Excerpt element with the Source setting set to Summary. To display the summary, do the following:

    1. From the frontend visit the page you want to show the summary on (for example a single post) and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
    2. Click on the template that you want to show the summary in, this will probably be the main Page Content or a review box Section template.
    3. From the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Post Excerpt” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear.
    4. From the Source setting select Summary.
    5. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

Affiliate Settings

This option allows you to add affiliates to a post.

You will only see the affiliates on posts that use a template that contains the Affiliates element. To display the affiliates, do the following:

    1. From the frontend visit the page you want to show the affiliates on (for example a single post) and in the admin bar at the top hover over the Template Editor button.
    2. Click on the template that you want to show the affiliates in, this will probably be the Page Title or main Page Content template.
    3. From the left hand side of the Elementor editor search for “Affiliate” and drag this element into the template where you want it to appear.
    4. Click Update at the bottom of the page.

Link Format Settings

This option allows you to change the link to the post.
