To add advertisement to your site it is recommended you use the Advanced Ads plugin, which allows you to insert advertisements in multiple locations and only under specific conditions.
Header/Footer Advertisements
You can insert advertisements in the header or footer do the followng:
Step 1: Install and activate the Advanced Ads plugin.
Step 2: Now go to Advanced Ads > Ads and click the New Ad button.
Step 3: Give your ad a name and then follow the wizard to set up your ad and once finished click Publish.
Step 4: Now go to Advanced Ads > Placements and click the New Placement button.
Step 5: Click the first image called Manual Placement.
Step 6: Give your placement the name “header” to display it in the header.
Step 7: Give your placement the name “footer” to display it in the footer.
Step 8: Finally select the advertisement you want to display in this area and click Save New Placement.
Post Content Advertisements
To insert advertisements above, below or within content at a specific paragraph do the following:
Step 1: Install and activate the Advanced Ads plugin.
Step 2: Now go to Advanced Ads > Ads and click the New Ad button.
Step 3: Give your ad a name and then follow the wizard to set up your ad and once finished click Publish.
Step 4: A new section will open that allows to choose where to place the ad.
Step 5: Alternatively go to Advanced Ads > Placements and click the New Placement button.
Step 6: Click one of the content images, give your placement a name, select the desired advertisement and click Save New Placement.
Sidebar Advertisements
To insert advertisements into the sidebar do the following:
Step 1: Install and activate the Advanced Ads plugin.
Step 2: Now go to Advanced Ads > Ads and click the New Ad button.
Step 3: Give your ad a name and then follow the wizard to set up your ad and once finished click Publish.
Step 4: A new section will open that allows to choose where to place the ad, select the “Manage Sidebar” image.
Step 5: This will take your to Appearance > Widgets where you can insert the Advanced Ads into the desired sidebar.
